Director of Corporate IT

The Director of Corporate IT (Infrastructure & Operations) is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the company’s global Corporate IT infrastructure. This includes end user computing, network, datacenter, and systems administration teams, as well as management of key technology vendors.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned technology leader with strong experience in enterprise infrastructure, global operations, and service delivery — ensuring availability, scalability, and performance of critical systems. The Director Corporate IT reports to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and will work closely with the Information Security and Compliance Team, Procurement, Finance, Enterprise Applications, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment between operational technology and security objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Leadership Strategy
- Lead and manage global infrastructure teams including: End-user computing/service desk, Network Team (data center, enterprise, and cloud networking), Data center operations team (on-premise infrastructure, AD virtualization, cloud platforms, M365, PKI)
- Develop and execute the IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals and security standards.
- Define and manage infrastructure roadmaps, capacity planning, and technology lifecycle management.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with business leaders and other functions, especially the Security team.
Financial Management
- Manage the infrastructure and operations budget, including forecasting, planning and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team to drive spend efficiency through effective vendor negotiation, licensing optimization, and lifecycle management.
- Partner with Finance to track variances, analyze cost drivers, and report on ROI for technology investments.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of global IT services and infrastructure.
- Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes to maintain operational stability.
- Implement ITIL-aligned practices for service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Manage global datacenter operations and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Lead modernization and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage strategic technology vendors, including ISPs, colocation providers, hardware/software suppliers, and third-party maintenance vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and SLAs to ensure cost-effective, high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee vendor performance and compliance with company policies and standards.
Collaboration with Information Security
- Work closely with the Security and Compliance teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with security policies, controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Partner on incident response, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening initiatives.
- Support implementation of security monitoring, network segmentation, and identity/access management improvements.
People Management
- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing global infrastructure team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear goals, KPIs, and performance metrics for teams and individuals.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale, globally distributed IT operations. 
-  Broad technical expertise across: - Networking: LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud networking 
- Datacenter technologies: Compute, storage, and virtualization 
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and GCP 
- Microsoft ecosystem: Active Directory, M365, and PKI 
- IT service management: ITIL or similar frameworks 
 
- Exceptional vendor management, negotiation, and contract oversight skills. 
- Strong communication, influence, and stakeholder management capabilities across all levels of the organization. 
Preferred
- Experience working in regulated or security-sensitive environments. 
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27000 series, NIST, or CIS Controls. 
- Relevant certifications or academic background (B.S. or M.S.) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or IT Management.
