Security Automation Engineer

In this role you will be primarily responsible for developing automation solutions for rollout, configuration and migration of security policies to seamlessly protect complex environments with thousands of workloads. You will be part of a global team passionate about cyber security, coding, integrations and automation in the Cloud.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and maintain proficient functional and technical knowledge of the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud product line – security, data protection & management layers
- Develop and implement security automation focused on policy management, monitoring, alerting and system change/configuration management
- Develop and maintain code base of existing tools and solutions, participate in regular code review sessions, write quality code in accordance with best practices
- Evaluate and estimate efforts for technical delivery tasks, participate in planning and scope sessions with Technical Leads, Architects or Managers
- Work on delivery projects with focus on platform integrations, automation & migration scope, in accordance with industry’s best practices for cyber security and data protection
- Work closely with different technical stakeholders and teams – Data Center Operations, Research and Development, Product Management and more
- Provide feedback to Product Management and QA Teams on product enhancements, bugs and required features identified
WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Proven track record and experience in the Cyber Security industry, working with modern EDR & XDR solutions, standards and frameworks like NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, and related best practices in a large or medium-sized environment
- Proven background and experience with advanced Python object-oriented programming, Web Services, REST API and multi-tier, multi-tenant cloud-based applications
- Proven background and experience with scripting languages for system automation, configuration management, and task orchestration (Windows & Unix/Linux)
- Knowledge and understanding of CI/CD principles and tools
- Experience working with Atlassian suite (JIRA, Git/Bitbucket, Confluence)
- Ability to interact and communicate with multiple stakeholders – technical and business
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Cyber Security or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel occasionally, including internationally
- Fluent written and spoken English language.
Would be considered plus if you have
- Technical hands-on experience in 3 or more of the following areas – Cyber Security, Backup & Disaster Recovery, Linux System Administration, Public & Private Clouds, industry leading EDR & XDR products
- Experience in Cyber Security industry, particularly endpoint protection, threat prevention, detection & response
