Esperanto Technologies is looking for a new member of the Test Engineering team to focus on System-Level Test (SLT). As a key member of the group, you’ll be involved with creating and maintaining test programs that will functionally validate chips containing in excess of a thousand cores architected to run cutting edge inferencing models. You will be working with groups that are end-to-end in the chip development process, including design, device verification (DV), software, systems engineering and operations. Summary of duties:

  • Create, debug, and maintain programs that will fully validate our silicon.
  • Assist in new silicon validation
  • Gather requirements to generate both characterization and production programs in the SLT environment.
  • Communicate with vendors (test hardware and software) to ensure the quality of the SLT infrastructure.
  • Collect and analyze test results in order to validate functionality and measure performance.
  • Diagnose chip failures that arise in production, during endurance testing and from customer returns.

The ideal candidate will meet the following:

  • BS or MS degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Ability to debug and root cause issues by creating controlled experiments.
  • Experience with scripting languages (primarily python).
  • Must be self-driven and require minimal supervision.
  • Communication skills are very important along with the ability to work with different groups in the company.
  • Desire to work outside of your comfort zone.

Preference given for:

  • Strong Python skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in silicon debug.
  • Exposure to firmware, drivers, etc..
