Product & Engineering Marketing Manager
We are looking for a Product & Engineering Marketing Manager to join the GoodData team!
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering, data, analytics, or software development, and coupled with a keen interest in storytelling and/or experience in marketing, will drive our technical product marketing initiatives. Former data engineers and BI developers are encouraged to apply.
In this role, collaboration is the key to success. You will work closely with our product, engineering, and marketing teams to distill the technical value of our products and craft compelling marketing content. Your understanding of engineering will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the content you produce.
While high proficiency in verbal and written English is a requirement for this role, we understand that not everyone may feel comfortable producing written content. Fear not - our team of copywriters and native-speaking colleagues will support content finalization.
Act as a bridge between the product strategy (who define the go-to-market and product positioning), marketing teams (who turn the vision into targeted campaigns and content), and sales/engineering teams (who have the most direct path to the customer).
Transform complex technical analytics and BI concepts into stories that would appeal to their respective target audiences - developers, data engineers, and technical managers.
Work with internal stakeholders and conduct your own research on how to execute campaigns, for both inbound and outbound marketing campaigns.
Define requirements for new content (articles, webinars, community posts, social media posts, etc.) and personally execute those requirements, alongside the marketing or other supporting teams as needed.
Experience working in a technical role within the BI and Analytics space
Enjoy staying up to date with trends and market movement within BI and Analytics software (e.g. you are very aware of competitor products, and hot industry trends, follow relevant voices in the data and analytics community, etc.)
Willingness and interest in getting hands-on with the GoodData platform
Experience organizing and executing large-scale initiatives that require input and activities from multiple teams, such as sales, engineering, marketing, product management, and strategy.
Enjoy considering how to create an ideal customer experience for product feature launches (e.g.. will this resonate best as a “vision update” or “feature release”)
Ability and willingness to create content for data engineers and developers (e.g. writing blog posts, articles, hosting a webinar, videos, building presentations)
Self-motivated, willing to share ideas, build relationships, and work with distributed teams.
Ability to balance “textbook” vs. “real world” marketing approaches and execution plans to get things done efficiently.
Interest or experience in working with tools like Figma, Slack, Zoom, Medium, Jira, CMS systems, Loom, and Google slides/docs/sheets.
