Why Hover wants you

Hover has historically grown through a heavily Sales Led Growth approach and we are doubling down our investment in the Product Led Growth effort tackling the long tail of small businesses which are too small to efficiently sell to, but which represent the majority of our TAM.

We know that to win, our cross functional Product and GTM efforts both need to make our customer’s experience Intuitive without the white glove assistance of sales, Personalized to the specific user, Earnest in helping them realize the value of our platform, and Triggered by automated workflows that meet them where and when they need nudges.

Here at Hover, this team is responsible for both shaping the design and driving execution of our customer experience to win our PLG GTM effort. It is no casual inclusion that your job title has Growth Strategy in it.

The title GTM Engineer is new in the market and everyone on LinkedIn has an opinion about what this should/could be. Your team will leverage technology, particularly AI & Automation, to drive customer outcomes efficiently at scale.

Your team will…

  • Map out the entire customer journey from signup through durable paid retention for each segment, planning the Product Requirements and GTM Engagements needed at each step to drive impact
  • Synthesize crisp, ROI-driven recommendations to Product for their roadmap, including being willing to sign up for higher revenue goals to justify the asks
  • Obsess over experimentation and making decisions based on data, but also having the experience and judgment to know when to make key decisions based on gut/qualitative reasons even without the math to support
  • Develop and run rapid PoCs that validate AI‐driven GTM strategies and demonstrate measurable business impact. Start with the hacky test before investing in the durable solution that scales.
  • Source and enrich data from product usage, support logs, and third‐party providers (e.g. Clay) to sharpen customer segmentation, targeting, triggered GTM automations, and product recommendations
  • Analyze driver‐trees and funnels to identify highest leverage opportunities for optimization
  • Design, build, and deploy custom LLM‐based agents using prompt engineering, APIs, internal tools, and integrations to drive GTM automation. Monitor agent performance and continuously iterate based on outcomes.
  • Automate repetitive GTM workflows with scripts (e.g. Python) and no‐code platforms (e.g. Zapier), leveraging solid REST principles (API docs, idempotent calls, rate limits)
  • Eliminate manual work (yours and your peers) by automating as much process as possible, including around internal efforts and collaboration

Your background includes

  • 12+ years experience in Growth, GTM Ops/Strategy, Analytics, and/or Product at a high-growth tech company (we wouldn’t be surprised if you have held titles across multiple of these areas over your career)
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing multiple people and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Extensive experience working in ambiguity cross functionally to build relationships, understand complex systems, map out solutions, gain influence to drive alignment, and execute on complex efforts
  • Constant storytelling at all altitudes of the business, from Executive collaboration to company all hands to helping give context to junior ICs
  • Broad analytical and technical experience; comfort jumping between (and learning new) tools, whether they be different BI tools, setting up workflows in Zapier, or navigating content and copy for customized marketing campaigns
  • Frequent direct customer engagement, picking up the phone to talk to users yourself and develop a qualitative perspective to marry with your quantitative understanding
