Why Hover wants you
Our Integrations team plays a critical role in scaling Hover’s impact. As we grow, our success increasingly depends on how seamlessly we connect with the broader ecosystem—platforms used by contractors, carriers, homeowners, and technology partners. That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer who can bridge the gap between our product and the real-world workflows of our customers and partners. This isn’t just about answering technical questions—it’s about deeply understanding how people use our platform, identifying integration opportunities that drive real value, and guiding partners through thoughtful, scalable implementation.
You’ll work alongside business development, product, and engineering teams to help partners—from Fortune 500 insurers to fast-growing startups—integrate our APIs, accelerate adoption, and unlock new use cases. You’ll bring clarity to complexity, anticipate technical needs, and make sure every integration is a success story.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where your work will directly influence partner success, product evolution, and revenue growth. If you’re excited by technical challenges, cross-functional collaboration, and building something that matters—you’ll thrive here.
You will contribute by
- Leading API & Integration Strategy: Serve as the technical expert on our APIs—guiding external developers, troubleshooting issues, and shaping future capabilities based on real-world feedback.
- Having a Partner-Facing Impact: Spend ~60% of your time working directly with partners (home improvement brands, software platforms, insurance carriers) on integration design, onboarding, and rollout.
- Bridging Engineering & GTM Teams: Spend the rest of your time aligning Engineering and Go-to-Market—translating technical capabilities into real-world customer solutions.
- Driving Innovation: Identify new growth opportunities, test ideas quickly, build business cases, and influence strategic decisions at the leadership level.
Your background includes
- 5+ years as a Solutions Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, or similar role
- Strong experience with REST/GraphQL APIs (bonus if you’ve built them)
- Extensive experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams (bonus if you have development experience with Ruby on Rails)
- Comfort working across technical and non-technical teams
- Knowledge of SSO/OAuth, cloud platforms, and BI tools like Tableau and SQL
- Deep experience collaborating with external parties to understand their needs and solution ways to meet those needs
- A hands-on, startup mindset—you’re comfortable owning big ideas and sweating the details
- A track record of organized documentation of technical solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent communicator, both technically and with business audiences
Benefits
- Compensation - Competitive salary and meaningful equity in a fast-growing company
- Healthcare - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and dependents
- Paid Time Off - Unlimited and flexible vacation policy
- Paid Family Leave - We support work/life balance and offer generous paid parental and new child bonding leave
- Mandatory Self-Care Days - A day set aside each month to allow employees to recharge
- Remote Wellbeing Resources - We provide recurring fitness classes, meditation/ mindfulness tools, virtual therapy, and family planning assistance
- Learning - We encourage continued education and will help cover the cost of management training, conferences, workshops, or certifications
