For our Business Development Team (Supply) we are seeking an outstanding Business Developer Logistics Services to grow and own logistic related services for our suppliers and customers. In this role you will set the strategy and vision and work with internal and external partners to execute it. The ideal candidate will have business development, sales or project management experience at a CEP company and technical knowledge in the logistics sector. The position reports to the Head of Category Management and Business Development within the Supply department.
Who you are
- You hold a degree in Business Administration, Economics or Supply Chain Management.
- You have 2-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, ideally at a CEP company and have a good technical knowledge of the processes
- You are used to a fast-paced, changing environment
- You have excellent communication skills, and you are fluent in German and English
- You have strong sales skills and proven record of successful negotiations
- Experience in project management is a plus
- You have strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset
- You have a can-do mentality, work independently and are naturally a problem-solver
- You don’t shy away from operational tasks
- You enjoy working cross-departmentally and are curious about new business challenges
- You care about the world and want to spend your time making a difference
What you’ll do
- You will set the strategy to grow logistics related services to meet our ambitious goals
- You will identify external partners including carriers and third-party software solution providers, negotiate rates and conditions and manage the partnership with them
- You will work closely with the Account Management team to increase supplier adoption of our services
- You will project manage the development our shipping services
- You will be an active member of a cross-functional squad working on logistics topics and you will support all shipping-related initiatives within the company (e.g. returns processes)
- You will analyse and track performance and report to leadership
- You will be responsible for the coordination and management of daily operations
