Our Supplier Happiness team is looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead (m/f/x). In this role, you will lead a team of frontend and backend engineers and collaborate closely with the Product team in a cross-functional squad to deliver an outstanding experience for our suppliers on the Refurbed marketplace. Your work will focus on maintaining and extending our internal and external APIs, improving the dedicated supplier web interface, and optimising internal processes. Furthermore, you will navigate your team through day-to-day challenges and drive our initiatives to success.
Our backend services are written in Go, we rely on gRPC and Protocol Buffers to define our APIs, we use Postgres to store data reliably, and RabbitMQ to facilitate asynchronous workflows. On the frontend we use Vue 3 to create rich and responsive user interfaces.

WHO YOU ARE
- Experience in software development for 5+ years
- Experience in leading a team of software engineers for 2+ years
- Experience with working in an agile work environment (Scrum or Kanban)
- You have worked in a team of remote developers before
- You enjoy working with people
- You work independently and are goal-oriented
- You do not hesitate ti share your opinion
- You have excellent English skills
- You are located in one of the European time zones
- Formal education in Computer Science or similar
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Development of our main APIs
- Development of our smaller backend services
- Development of rich user interfaces
- Ensure a high-quality code base
- Be responsible for code reviews and merges
- Lead a team consisting of backend developers
- Hold regular 1-on-1 meetings with your team members and ensure team health
- Work together with product management and other teams
ADDITIONAL FACTORS WE APPRECIATE
- You have experience designing and implementing backend services
- You have experience with software development using the Go programming language
- You have experience creating user interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript and Vue (or similar framework)
- You have experience working on highly-available and fault-tolerant systems
- You are active in the open-source community
