We’re seeking an experienced Power BI Manager to drive the strategic expansion of Power BI across our organization. Reporting to the VP of FP&A and Revenue Operations, you’ll develop a comprehensive dashboard suite covering all business functions, integrate data from tools like Salesforce, design scalable data models, and empower our team through targeted training. This role requires technical expertise, a talent for delivering insights tailored to a software and subscription business model, and a passion for fostering a data-driven culture. Key Responsibilities:

  • Scale Power BI Adoption: Lead the rollout and adoption of Power BI dashboards across departments, aligning with the needs of a software and subscription-based business.
  • Dashboard Development: Design and maintain a suite of interactive dashboards delivering real-time insights into key metrics like recurring revenue, churn, customer acquisition, and operational performance.
  • Data Integration: Seamlessly integrate Power BI with data sources such as Salesforce, ERP systems, SQL databases, and subscription management platforms to unify our data ecosystem.
  • Data Modelling: Build and refine scalable, high-performance data models using DAX and Power Query, ensuring accuracy for subscription revenue tracking and forecasting.
  • User Training & Enablement: Develop and deliver training programs tailored to diverse user levels, promoting self-service analytics and data literacy across teams.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with FP&A, Revenue Ops, IT, and product teams to identify reporting needs and deliver solutions that drive value in a subscription-driven environment.
  • Data Governance & Security: Establish and enforce best practices for data governance, compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and security to protect sensitive customer and financial data.
  • Project Management: Oversee Power BI projects from inception to deployment, managing timelines and stakeholder expectations.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance dashboard performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data reliability.
  • Innovation & Adaptability: Stay current with Power BI advancements and evolving needs of a software/subscription business, recommending improvements to keep our analytics cutting-edge.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI or comparable BI platforms, with demonstrated success in a software and subscription business model environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, dataflows), data modelling, and integration with tools like Salesforce, SQL Server
  • Business Model Knowledge: Proven ability to design and interpret analytics for recurring revenue, customer retention, and subscription growth metrics.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional projects and inspire teams to embrace data-driven practices.
  • Training & Communication: Strong track record of training or mentoring others, with excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical Acumen: Skill in translating complex business challenges—especially subscription-based KPIs—into clear, impactful visualizations and insights.
  • Data Governance Knowledge: Familiarity with data privacy regulations, security protocols, and BI deployment best practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to resolving technical and operational challenges.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Preferred: Power BI certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate), experience with Agile methodologies, or familiarity with tools like Tableau, Python, or R.

  • Reports to the VP of FP&A and Revenue Operations.
